About Axe View Hideout

Founded in late summer of 2023,  Axe View Hideout was Harrys idea of sharing his childhood playground with others. Starting with hosting yearly private events for friends, it led on to a passion for hosting & accommodating people at axe view. 

Visions for the site have always been, small, quirky & high quality. The idea of large scale camping was not of interest, we want to keep the tranquility & peace this area offers. 

Campground Rules

  • Camping is only allowed in designated campsites
  • Campsite occupancy is limited to six people per site
  • First-come campgrounds usually fill by early morning: plan ahead to obtain a site
  • Drinking water is normally available in all campgrounds

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Colyton is a 10 minute walk away. Quite a steep hill to walk up/down, however it is not very long. 

Extras can be accommodated but you must make contact with us before and let us know who & who many you would like to bring.  Availability & pricing can then be discussed. 

Unfortunately not.. as much as we absolute love dogs. They will make the changeover & cleaning much more involved, therefore at this current time, it’s a no. 

Yes, of course. As long as the above ground fire pits are used. Logs can be purchased on site.
